Great fun to be had in post-apocalyptic Boston, MA.
Overall
Very enjoyable game. It can be as simple or as complicated as you'd like. Either go straight for the main story line in a straightforward fashion, or take your time and do every side mission you can find. Either way is quite fun. Survival mode is fun in it's own way, too, though not for the faint of heart. Review by Thomas S. (Posted on 11/12/2017)
Very good game, kudos to those who came up with so many details and options.
Overall
have never played any versions of this game before. So for me, this is a complex game at first, but once I've gotten used to the controls and the infinite options and decisions I have on hand, this is a great game. It loads and re-loads slow, fast traveling isn't that fast, but the wait is worth it because there is a great amount of details and almost never ending areas to be explored, as well as several missions you can perform at any given time. The focus is to get inside "the institute" and try to get you kid back. But there are many missions to be performed prior, and the amount of gun, ammo and armor options are mind boggling. The development and growth of settler camps is a nice break from shooting enemies all the time, and the scarcity of 'fusion cores' that power your armor forces you to use your brain before getting trigger happy. Great game if you have patience and lots of time. Review by Kramer Drummer (Posted on 10/6/2017)
Fallout 4- Beautiful Wasteland
Overall
Five stars is not a perfect game, but a perfectly FUN game. As of this review I've played 9 hours and zero technical issues. Game looks great, runs great. Buy with confidence if this game interests you at the least.

Speaking if interest- If you've never played a Fallout, but like an RPG-Action-Collect everything type game with a good story (so far), then this is a winner. If you enjoyed Fallout 3 then you owe it to yourself to play Fallout 4, feels like the previous game except better in most every way. While I'm doing my thing in Fallout 4, my character from Fallout 3 could be running around doing his/her thing too, 450 miles south. That's how familiar everything feels to the previous game. It's not feeling repetitive at all though because Fallout 4 looks so beautiful. Faded colors abound, decayed everything looking very realistic, little details everywhere. When your roaming around alone and on your guard, the audio does a great job of making you feel alone, conveying enemy and environment sounds so it feels like you're there. There's also a new game play mechanic, the Settlements, which I won't go into because I don't want to spoil how it works. Part of the fun is figuring it out yourself, right? I had a great time figuring out how it works and I'm still learning because it's so in depth. Excellent new addition to the franchise.

I have a long way to go in this game as of this review, but my opinion stands: Fallout 4 is a must play game, even more than the previous one. You'll enjoy getting lost in the wasteland.

Great way to get the game cheaply
Overall
The game itself is amazing. Bethesda's steam DRM is less so. This is a box with a code you claim in origin - no CD. Definitely worth the wait for the price. Review by Glenn Hatt (Posted on 9/28/2017)
First fallout experience
Overall
I love this game I just don't have time to play it. Very fun. Graphics aren't as amazing as I would've thought but stil loads of fun. Glad I jumped on the fallout bandwagon even if I'm a year late Review by Stewy (Posted on 9/24/2017)
My GOTY
Overall
I have been a huge fan of the Fallout series for a long time. I have every Fallout game. Although this game is different in many aspects of what I have come to love in Fallout, it still is an absolutely great game. The immersive stories, the endless mods, the ability to create your own settlement in the wasteland and the endless areas to explore. All of it comes together in a great way to make this game one to remember.

I am already about 60 hours into the game and I feel like I have barely scratched the surface on the possibilities. Every time I get on to play I have a particular goal in mind that I plan to do then maybe play something else, or go outside. As I am playing I come across three other side quests, a new location and and cool new gun that just sucks me in. Everywhere you go on the map has something new for you to do.

If you love open world formats, almost complete control on every aspect of your character, storylines that will suck you in and action that will leave you stunned then this game is an absolute must buy.

Great storyline
Overall
Great storyline, a throw-back to the 50's and 60's stories about the fear of nuclear war. Review by R Lawrence (Posted on 9/22/2017)
It's not New Vegas... but almost.
Overall
One of my favorite games. It's definitely more of a "story shooter" than an "RPG." I wish it had more of the RPG elements from New Vegas and Fallout 3, but the gunplay is great. Classic Fallout tropes that we all love. Huge world to explore. Great characters. Great music. It is still a Bethesda game, though, so there are still graphical issues that seem like they would have been really easy to fix/avoid. Stretched textures from time-to-time, weird LOD models sometimes. They aren't common enough to affect the overall experience, I think, but every once in a great while you'll come across a floating rock or a bad UV map. Still highly recommend it, though. Good price, good game.
Overall
The game itself lives up to my expectations (though as a Boston native, some landmarks are disappointingly small when they got scaled down, and I can't find anywhere I would recognize in East Boston). The price here is great though, much lower than Steam, although it's worth noting that you still need Steam to download the full game for some reason. Review by P. Scott (Posted on 9/22/2017)
