so I buy it here

The most AMAZING game you will EVER play.
Overall
It's too bad that there aren't more than five stars on here, because I would probably have to give this game infinite stars. Prior to playing this game, I was a non-gamer. Now I play Skyrim and my life has changed. I finally understand a lot of the terms my kids use. The way they feel when they're gaming. Why they can't stop in the middle of a battle to do something. Why they sometimes stay up until 4am. Yep. I get it now.

With this Legendary Edition, I didn't have to download and pay for separate DLC's...all of the extras are already included. All of the gameplay is there and ready to go. The graphics are astounding. I know, I know, there are some games where the graphics are supposed to be even better...but really, do they have the massive world to explore, the lore, the hours of gameplay and the stories? The potential lives that you can live in that game? I don't think so. I think that Skyrim is..well, the greatest thing since sliced bread!

All Around Wonderful
Overall
This game is absolutely excellent! It was how I was introduced to the Elder Scrolls series and I'm certain to try Oblivion and Morrowind now, just because it's so great. The story is rich, the choices you get to make as a player do have an effect on the world around you and how NPC's treat you (to an extent), oh I could go on. Most of the issues you may have with it can be fixed by mods as well as any other extra features you may like, from changing the dragons to cartoon trains, to adding guns and custom-voiced followers... the possibilities are endless.
As for this actual purchase, it might be worth noting that you NEED Steam installed to play the game. This probably stopped being a point of confusion, since it's been several years since the game was released, but it's true. You can install the game from the disk, but the installation is "validated" through Steam, so it needs to be on your computer. You also need to be signed in to Steam to play the game (though you can be offline in Steam so that you can play without an internet connection).
All in all, I'm glad I got such a great deal on such a great masterpiece of a game. It's definitely one of my favorites.

Awesome Game, Be Warned though, You Will Wonder Where the Time Went
Overall
Awesome game. I actually made this purchase here for my kids. I've had Skyrim for years, hundreds of hours into it and I love it.
My kids were playing it on the Xbox 360 and the three of them were fighting over taking turns. I noticed it was on sale here so I grabbed it for them and they're happily all playing quietly now on the Xbox 360 and two computers as on Steam you can play online and offline so two kids can play on the same account which is great.
Excellent game, I can't wait to see what's next from Bethesda in this series. Even though Skyrim is a bit old it's still a fun game overall.

Well put together and maintained game. Not as involved as some other MMOs which I see as a good thing. Review by Benjamin Taylor (Posted on 10/5/2017)
but I was satisfied with it perfectly
Overall
This game was everything I thought it would be. As a new game there is always improvements to be had, but I was satisfied with it perfectly. Review by Andrew Tipper (Posted on 10/4/2017)
Legendary Edition
Overall
I have the legendary edition through Steam. I am 60 years old retired and my Wife has passed.

I have played this game over 1200 hours there are some that are approaching the 5000 hour mark. I have though about buying this game through Micronzone just to have the disks. I start over constantly because there are things I have missed and the twist and turns of the story are amazing.

I cannot say enough about this game without reveaing spoilers but I will say it is the finest game I have ever played. The mods add so much so buy the PC version.

Steam can be a problem sometimes so save your game around every 30 minutes. Or it could be mod compatibality which can cause problems.

I would tell you add one mod at a time and see how it works. Also do not forget Nexus a great source of Mods that have no size limit.

If you never buy another game and even with Steam who lacks a phone number to call for support buy this game. You will not be sorry.

Take your time and make you first mod 100 times your carry weight. Or as it is called Picked up a spoon.

Great game without having to pay a monthly fee.
Overall
This game is addicting. I love that fact that you don't have to pay a monthly fee, like other games. It plays pretty well on my laptop, just make sure you read the system requirements before hand. The only small complaint I have is the thief class. Without the expansions, the thief class is pretty hard to play. I ended up going with a mage class instead. Other than that, it is a great game. It is a huge game that has tons of quest and other stuff for you to do. The graphics are pretty good as well. I am never disappointed with Elder Scrolls games. I just love them. Great game and plays well
Overall
I bought this game because I watched my grandson and my son playing. I always loved RPG type games but most of them are just too hard for me. To my surprise this game is easily played on my computer and will work with Windows 8.1. It was easy to download and plays very well. The quests are interesting and have no time constraints. Every decision you make changes the story, so I can see myself playing this again if I get to the end. Next time I may change some things I have done to see a different outcome. All in all a great game. Review by Tig (Posted on 9/30/2017)
Great game, open world concept with missions along the way.
Overall
Great game and series, this holds true to the Elder Scrolls series and is a great game. Lots of fun and tons of replay value. Review by GiGi Hayes (Posted on 9/29/2017)
It's as good as they say!
Overall
There are so many things to do in this game and there's no time limit. You can build up your character and finish an objective whenever you find the time. Your character can make their own armor, build their own house, explore dungeons, slay dragons, cast spells, make potions, get married, break into houses, etc. There are some scenarios that can lead your character down an evil path but there are many more opportunities to do the right thing. The only problem might be the long loading times (under 1 min) between dungeons after you've accomplished all this great things BUT this will give you an opportunity to grab nourishment from the fridge after playing the game for eight hours straight. Worth it.
Overall
I played this game to death and I still love it. It is my favorite game to date for so many reasons, great rpg, grafics that still hold up to today's open world games, and so many fantasy quests that aren't even the main storyline. I bought the add-on segments after playing it through twice and it gave the game even more life. The building wasn't my favorite but I loved going through some new elements with the vampires. Solstheim was a whole new game inside a game. Worth it. Review by R. (Posted on 9/29/2017)
Beautiful, fun, engaging. I have played many hours of it.
Overall
I have put many, many hours into this game. I've played it through using three different techniques (two-handed, one-handed, archer). Each of them has their advantages. The game is actually quite different with each one. The universe is super compelling and the gameplay is good. Lots of fun mysteries to figure out and the plot is quite good as well. I really don't have anything negative to say about it.

Well, I guess I feel a little negatively about the magic attacks. I have tried several times to play a mage-type character but it's just way underpowered. There aren't very good attack spells. At least, not destruction magic spells. Maybe I should try some of the other magic types.

I can recommend this game highly. It's one of the finest games I have ever played.
